us to the most intensive scrutiny by the public. This Pet Industry Code of Ethics explains our business practice and moral obligations to pets
and their owners. Each Pets Paradise store conducts its business in accordance with this Pet Industry Code of Ethics.
Any breach of these ethics, whether they be deliberate or accidental should be brought to the attention of the Duty Manager or Franchisee.

- All Pets Paradise Franchisees, Managers and staff members shall ensure that all animals under their care
shall be provided with humane treatment and with correct and proper housing in accordance with applicable
State and Federal regulations.
- All Pets Paradise Franchisees, Managers and staff members shall take any necessary action to discourage
any acts of cruelty or mistreatment to animals under their care and to protect those animals from undue stress
or discomfort.
- All Pets Paradise Franchisees, Managers and staff members shall not offer for sale any animal that is known
to be suffering from disease, illness or injury and shall seek prompt, proper veterinary care for any animal in
their care that is so affected.
- All Pets Paradise Franchisees, Managers and staff members shall ensure that any animal in their care is provided
with an adequate and proper diet, in accordance with the need of the species.
- All Pets Paradise Franchisees, Managers and staff members shall not offer for sale any animal that is classified
as protected fauna other than those species allowed under State and Federal Acts, for which the necessary
certificates must be provided.
- All Pets Paradise Franchisees, Managers and staff members shall ensure that all employees in charge of livestock
shall be familiar with the care and needs of such species or shall be under the supervision of a person
who is knowledgeable and competent in this regard.
- All Pets Paradise Franchisees, Managers and staff members shall, whenever possible, accurately describe
the needs and care of any animal sold and provide or promote any literature relevant to the well being of the
animal after purchase.
- All Pets Paradise Franchisees, Managers and staff members shall not offer for sale any item or product that
does not knowingly conform to State and Federal regulations or that may endanger the safety of the user or animals.
- All Pets Paradise Franchisees, Managers and staff members shall endeavour to maintain their business
premises in a clean and safe condition and provide any necessary ventilation or lighting that may be required for
the comfort of livestock, employees and customers alike.
- All Pets Paradise Franchisees, Managers and staff members will trade in accordance with applicable State
and Federal regulations and by example, shall strive to promote the Australian Pet industry and the benefits of
responsible pet ownership to potential customers and members of the general public.
